A Jun-Sencha (non-shaded Sencha) from Satsumacho, Kagoshima. 99% of the teas produced in Kagoshima are shaded, therefore traditionally grown Jun-Senchas are a real rarity from this growing area.
Overall softer than its counterpart, the Asanoka Sencha, with a round, buttery umami and sweetness accompanied by a pleasant Shincha freshness. Aromas reminiscent of sweet potato and chestnuts complete the overall picture.
