Mr. Nishi has won the national competition several times and even the Tennô prize for his Sencha. Not to be confused with his namesake Mr. Nishi (also from Kirishima), who is very present on the foreign market. We are the first and only retailer outside of Japan to source teas from Mr. Nishi.
As already shown in the pictures, this tea contains relatively few stems for a Kukicha. It is very round, has a strong umami and sweetness and slightly nutty notes that round off the tea perfectly. An excellent everyday tea to an unbeatable price.
